Fox Glen Master ASSOCIATION COMMUNITY Update

July/August 2026 Community Update:

📅 Posted: July/August 2026 | ✍️ Sandie Rhodes, Fox Glen Master Association Board President

Please plan on attending the next Open Master Board Meeting on Tuesday, July 21 at 6 pm at the Clubhouse. Meetings are held quarterly and are concise to allow time for Q & A. The Board will answer all questions and take note of concerns. We hope to see you, but if you can’t make it, you can access the video call link here: https://meet.google.com/nvm-kyvk-ysi or dial +1 513-760-5274 and use PIN number: 787 313 068#It’s been a hot and humid summer so far.

It’s been nice to meet some new faces at the pool and the Aqua Aerobics class Friday mornings at 9:45 has been growing. Try it out. It’s great for all levels of fitness. Here’s what’s been going on or coming up in Fox Glen:

Speaking of the pool…

Broken glass has been found in and around the pool! We must emphasize that absolutely no glass is allowed inside the pool area. One careless accident leaving broken glass leads to children and adults getting glass cuts in their feet and may possibly lead to the pool being closed to drain and clean up any broken glass. All beverages must be brought in non-glass containers.

Reminder that each owner or renter is allowed two guests at the pool and must accompany them. No children allowed in pool area without adult supervision.

Gates have been locked at dark and opened in the morning because we are not permitted to have the pool open after sunset. Some residents (and non-residents!) were not adhering to the posted pool rules so we’ve had to resort to these measures. The pool area is under video surveillance because of previous vandalism and non-compliance of posted pool rules.

Key fobs are needed to enter the Clubhouse to access rest rooms and the gym, and the orange lanyard saying “pool pass” is needed when at the pool. If you need a fob (up to two per owner), please click the Key Fob button and complete the appropriate request form. If you have a key fob and haven’t used it, please try it to be sure it works as some earlier fobs had programming issues.

Around the community…

On consecutive Thursdays, July 9 and July 16, RiverTop will be spreading granular fertilizer. Although the granular fertilizer is not toxic, it may be irritating to some pets. To provide a non-treated area for pets, they will do this work in two stages. On. July 9, they will fertilize the grass around homes so you can walk your dogs on the communal areas. On July 16, they will treat the common areas which should be avoided.

SealPro will be starting to sealcoat driveways in Fox Glen on those homes who have contracted their services. On Monday, July 20, they will do driveways in the Villas. On Wednesday, July 22, they will work in the Villas and Townhomes sections and on Wednesday, July 22 they will do homes in the Cottages. Please plan to park in a neighbor’s driveway or the parking lot at the clubhouse. Parking on the streets or cul-de-sacs will block SealPro’s trucks from accessing driveways. Newly coated asphalt needs a minimum of 48 hours to dry before driving cars or walking on the surface. Heavier vehicles need a longer time to avoid indentations. This work will cause some inconvenience to all but will maintain the look and quality of our community. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation. If you missed signing up and need driveway sealing, please contact Bernie Robinson of SealPro at 828-691-4386 for a quote or more information. Owners who have contracted sealcoating services will be invoiced directly by SealPro.

The bridge between the Cottages and Villas was pressure washed and stained to protect it. Copper caps are being cleaned and replaced shortly.

The ladder was removed from the slide portion of the Playground because the areawas not level. We believe we have found the best way to correct this and hope to have this done soon. Thank you for your patience.

New street signs have been installed and look great. Each post has a metal shield to prevent damage from landscaping equipment. Also, “Speed Limit” and bolder “No Solicitation” signs have been added at both main entrances.

The Clubhouse & Gym:

Clubhouse Rental fee has been raised to $100 to cover costs. There is a new rental form on the website providing details and restrictions. We hope to have the deck repaired and open soon.

Clubhouse Air Conditioning and Heat was reported to not be working but it is fine. The remote controlling the unit is complicated so it was not understood. New clear and simple instructions are in the works and should be available by July 21. If anyone has questions, please contact Sandie at president@foxglen.org.

Then gym has a new rack and set of CAP 200 lb. Dumbbells (10 to 30 lbs.) There is a new rack for the lighter weights, as well. You’ll also notice a new digital timer clock with remote for those that want to time their workouts.

New water-resistant rugs have been placed in the hallway and rest rooms to absorb water dripping from people wet from the pool. A new changing table (Thank you Sheila Drye!) has been placed in the Women’s rest room to give parents a convenient place to attend to infants and toddlers.

Upcoming events:

Community-Wide Yard Sale is planned for Saturday, September 19. Everyone who participated last year was very pleased with attendance and sales. It’s a great time to clear out unused or needed items, make a little money, and know that your possessions are going to someone who needs them. We will hope to have unsold items picked up by one or more charitable operations. There will be a Yard Sale Registration form on the website by next month. Until then email president@foxglen.org for more information.

Want to be part of our Spruce Up team? Fox Glen has a handyman two days a month but there is a need for some sprucing up that we hope we can handle with volunteers. Many of our older signs are dirty, the mailbox gets covered in pollen, and there are some things that just need a good cleaning. We will be picking a Saturday morning when it’s cooler to tackle these tasks and hope you might join us. If we get even a handful of volunteers it wouldn’t take more than an hour or so. If you can be part of this community effort, please email Sandie at president@foxglen.org.

Please use our website, Foxglen.org, often for updates news, a calendar of events and to email the Board with concerns or questions. For easy access to the Tessier portal, there’s a link in the upper right corner.

Stay cool!
