Fox Glen Master ASSOCIATION COMMUNITY Update
Positive Progress Continues Throughout Fox Glen
📅 Posted: May 29, 2026 | ✍️ Sandie Rhodes, Fox Glen Master Association Board President
As anticipated, April and May (so far) have kept the Master Board hopping.
On April 14 numerous dangerous trees were removed from throughout the community and Bradford Pear trees along the walkway by the bridge were also taken down. These stumps were ground and will be treated shortly to ensure the roots die and don’t do any more damage to the walkway. Emerald Green Arborvitae trees were planted, which will grow to about 4 feet wide and 10–15 feet tall and their roots won’t destroy the walkway.
Our new pool service got the pool drained, inspected, filled and open for the season on May 9 as promised. The deck furniture was cleaned and the heater turned up the following weekend. Only very minor repairs were needed on the pool but not so with one of the pool sheds. Water draining off the concrete into the gravel for years had rotted the inside bottom of the shed. Our handyman spotted it, was able to repair it, and install a French Drain and drainpipe, so this problem shouldn’t happen again.
Painting of the pool sheds has been completed and a new outdoor shower has been installed.
The Playground had an unexpected issue, but a fix is in the works. When the ground was leveled, a slight slope was added to allow water to drain since it had always pooled in that area. As the ground settled it became uneven and made the stairs pull from the main structure. They were temporarily removed until this is put right, hopefully by very early June.
Finally, new street signs have been ordered to replace the old, worn-out ones. The signs will be sturdy, rust-proof metal with white lettering on a dark brown background. Posts will be wooden with finial caps on the top to maintain Fox Glen’s woodsy appearance. Posts will have metal post shields at the bottom to prevent damage from mowers.
The Board voted to postpone adding key fob access control to the pool’s gates as it was found to be quite expensive. That project, as well as restoration of the deck and modest improvements to the Clubhouse, have had to wait due to unforeseen expense for more urgent repairs already mentioned and rehanging almost 40 feet of fencing behind the Townhomes since the storm.
Key fobs are still needed to enter the Clubhouse or rest rooms and the gym, and the orange pool pass is needed when at the pool. If you need a fob (up to two per owner), please click the Key Fob button and complete the appropriate request form. If you have a key fob and haven’t used it, please try it to be sure it works as some earlier fobs had programming issues.
Be sure to visit our new website, Foxglen.org, for news, a calendar of events and to email the Board with concerns or questions. For easy access to the Tessier portal, there’s a link in the upper right corner.
Finally, due to several recent instances of unsafe and inappropriate behavior, the Board finds it necessary to remind residents, many new, of some basic rules and safety requirements of living in Fox Glen.
